Live United Campaign 2020
United Ways across the country have kicked off their annual LIVE UNITED Campaign and we encourage our employees to consider a gift. Gifts may be made through payroll deduction, vacation donation, or a one-time gift of cash/check. If you wish, you may also designate your gift to a specific non-profit of your choice.
Mainstream Living has been a proud partner agency of United Way for many years. In the last few years, we have been fortunate to receive significant grant funding to address important projects that aren’t funded through our traditional models. United Way of Story County has provided us with support to purchase equipment such as Chromebooks and programs like Therap. They have also provided funding for critical accessibility and safety projects including accessible patios and walkways, and $75,000 to complete a comprehensive accessibility project at the site of our day-habilitation program. Most recently, UWSC awarded Mainstream Living funds to build a new patio at Aspen House and purchase a new heating/cooling system at The Center.
United Way provides funding for critical programs that assist children, elderly, victims of domestic violence, people with disabilities, low-income families, refugees and more. Their areas of focus include education, income, and health and they work hard to assess programs that address the needs of our communities. If you would like to contribute to the LIVE United Campaign, please visit this Google Folder. Donation forms should be sent to Amber Corrieri in the Ames office by October 31.
