Update on Benefits

Thank you to everyone who came to the Benefit Fairs. We had over 130 employees attend and 32 employees who won gift cards or merchandise.  Attendees enjoyed information from a Fareway Dietitian, five minute massages, and plenty of snacks.  We also offered special discounts on Fitbit merchandise thanks to Wellmark and Fitbit. 

Our health insurance coverage will remain the same for 2019.   Our deductibles are one of the lowest among other employers, which allows for a lower out-of-pocket maximum for the year.  You will see slight premium increases in some plans, while others remained the same or decreased.   Dental and vision coverage remains the same as last year with a small increase in premium for vision.

Our open enrollment for 2019 insurance benefits is drawing to a close.  If you need to make any changes/additions/deletions or want to continue the flexible spending account for next year, please do so by December 15. Contact Lynda McCalley for details or to make changes to your benefits.

And in case you missed last month's article, we are now offering an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) partnering with our life insurance carrier, Mutual of Omaha.  This is a free call-in service 24/7 with licensed therapists and is available for all part-time plus and full-time employees and their immediate families.
