Celebrating YOU!

Direct Support Professionals Week will occur September 11-17th.  This is a time to recognize and celebrate staff.  We have several fun events and activities planned throughout the week. Here is a brief rundown of events, but please stay tuned to your email that week for daily announcements, activities, and prizes.  

Monday, September 12 - Outdoor Movie Night at Knapp House - 7:30-9:30pm - 385 Lincoln, West Des Moines

Join us for a family friendly outdoor movie. This event is open to employees, their families and members. Please bring lawn chairs to set up in the parking lot of Meals for the Heartland. The movie will begin between 7:45 and 8:00pm.  Popcorn will be provided but you are welcome to bring other snacks or drinks.  

Thusday, September 15 - Outdoor Movie Night at The Center - 7:30-9:30pm - 1200 McCormick, Ames

Join us for a family friendly outdoor movie. This event is open to employees, their families and members. Please bring lawn chairs to set up in the parking lot behind The Center. The movie will begin between 7:45 and 8pm.  Popcorn will be provided but you are welcome to bring other snacks or drinks.  You may park at the office, along the street or in the lot north of Center.  

Saturday, September 17 - Employee Appreciation Picnic - 11am-2pm - Union Park Des Moines

Don't miss our annual employee picnic.  This year's event is catered by HyVee who will be bringing out their grill to serve up burgers, chicken sandwiches and plenty of sides.  We will have vegetarian options as well.  Take part in carousel rides, enjoy live music and enter to win lots and lots of prizes!
