March is National Nutrition Month

In the spirit of National Nutrition Month, here are a few recipes for healthy and delicioius smoothies.  Fruit and/or vegetable smoothies are a great way for adults and kids to get extra vitamins and nutrients. Plus, they're super easy to make and can serve as a meal replacement or healthy snack. Just throw everything in a blender and enjoy! Be sure to use frozen fruit for the best results. 

Strawberry Pineapple Banana Smoothie:
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1 Banana (fresh or frozen)
2 cups Orange Juice
1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
1 cup Spinach optional
1 Tablespoon Chia or Flaxseeds (optional)

Sweet Cherry Almond Smoothie:
1 1/2 cups frozen cherries
1 cup Almond Milk
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 Banana (fresh or frozen)
Optional: top with unsweetened coconut flakes + almond butter

Lovely Greens Smoothie:
1 cup fronzen pineapple
2 cups spinach or kale
1 kiwi (peeled)
1 1/2 cup Orange Juice
1 frozen banana

Chocolate Powerhouse Smoothie:
1 cup coconut or almond milk
1 scoop Chocolate Protein Powder
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup Spinach
1 frozen banana
1 Tablespoon Almond Butter

Youthful Glow Smoothie:
2 cups spinach or kale
1 Banana
2 cups Pure Apple Juice
1/2 Cucumber
1/2 Lemon squeezed 
1 teaspoon Fresh Ginger grated

Peach Mango Smoothie:
1 cup frozen peaches
1 cup frozen mango
1 banana (fresh or frozen)
1 cup Orange Juice
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon fresh ginger
