What brought you to Mainstream?

I was going to Drake University in pre-law, with the intention of becoming a lawyer... then I planned on running for office and becoming Governor of the State of Iowa.  This was a plan that I had since I was 10 years old!!!  I started classes and took some Psychology classes for fun.  It turned out I loved the Psychology classes and hated spending time at the law library (go figure). Anyway, I needed a part-time job and saw an ad for Mainstream Living, and thought maybe I could use some of my Psychology training. 

What is your favorite thing about work?

When there is a challenge and I can spend time with people to find a solution.

How do I spend my time outside of work?

I like to ride my bike, kayak, garden, illustrate, write poetry, and binge on NETFLIX.

What is something employees may not know about you:  

I wrote and illustrated a children's book - published on Kindle "Winston" by William Vaughn.  It's about being different.  I wrote it a long time ago to help kids understand that being different is o.k., everyone has a way of fitting in.

Favorite Music: Christina Aguilera - Back to Basics (the entire album!)  I also like the soundtrack to "Burlesque".   I love Bruno Mars - 24K Magic, and Uptown Funk.  All of Earth, Wind and Fire's Greatest Hits!  My music has to have a beat... I love to dance.
Dream Vacation: Beach vacation in Jamaica, all inclusive!!!
